Mikey’s favorite pasttime- being outside, even in 102 degree weather. This time it is in a pool, but he colors with chalk, plays with playdoh and runs wild outside seemingly unaffected by the heat!!

Happy to announce that Jacob Ryan Pozzi was born June 7, 2011 at 7:49 am. He weighed 8 lbs 2 oz and was 21 in long.

Yes, having two kids is def more exhausting than having one, especially when Michael is the big brother lol.
Some good friends of ours that work with Jonathan were sweet enough to have a baby shower for Jacob. Here are some of the pics. Mikey did great!! Ate lots of cake, ice cream and opened all the baby gifts.
Everyone thought it was funny that our friend Megan, “the English teacher”, did not catch the spelling mistake on the cake. I told her we didn’t care, I can’t spell anyway and Jonathan and Michael will eat cake regardless of the wording on it lol.
Seeing all those diapers . . . are we really ready for this? 
And the big brother, so happy to help open aaaaallll of those presents. Even more fun was rolling around in the tissue paper.
And our sweet friends who threw the shower, Monica (far left) and Megan (holding Michael). And also Rachel (right), who worked with Jonathan this past year, but we knew her first over two years ago as Mikey’s teacher when he was at KinderCare.

And saving the best for last,
Michael’s favorite exhibit was . . . the monkeys of course.
Michael’s last spring break being a solo act, next year he will have baby brother. He got to do lots of fun stuff!!
We went to Houston to see the “wizard of oz” play. He loved it, talked a lot through it . . . Thank goodness it was a play for children 8 and under
Then lunch at Rainforest Cafe, as Michael says “um yummy!!”
Then I got to go for a quick visit to Katy, and ride my first horse!!
Then we went to see where Sam Houston used to live!!
Then Michael had a fun playdate with friends, followed by lunch, ice cream, and later game night!! He was pretty worn out after that day!!
And then to top it off, we made cupcakes because it was Baby Jack’s 6th birthday!! Michael decorated his cupcake all by himself… mostly.

Here is a picture of Baby#2 at 18 weeks 3 days gestation. We are thinking we are going to name him Jacob Ryan. He is already measuring a week to week and 2 days big, but because he measured well with the due date in earlier ultrasounds, the tech told us he is most likely “big” . . . so great thing that I can opt for a c-section lol.
Below is a picture of Michael at 18 weeks one day gestation. Maybe we are crazy, but we are thinking these two boys look alike in profile . . . Though Jacob does measure quite a bit bigger than Michael did.
What a wonderful Christmas it was!! Michael was so much fun this year. He really, really got into the spirit of opening gifts and was happy to help everyone open their gifts. Below our some pics of our 2010 Christmas.

As always, picture taking is quite an adventure with Michael. It started out well, hit some pretty rough spots, but ended up with some cute pics!! Below are the pictures we ordered in print.
The difficulty with picture taking this year is Michael wanted to (1) dig through empty packages, (2) sit as close as he could to the tree and be touching it, and (3) he did not really want any part of sitting on Mom or Dad’s laps. He are some of the outtake photos:
