A Fish Outta Water!!

Michael sure does love the water. He is starting swim lessons July 11th. Good thing too bc he has no fear at swimming pools and will gladly jump into water from the poolside.

He are a few cute pics of Mikey playing in his little plastic pool.

First Michael takes all the available balls in the yard and puts them in his pool. This process does take some time.

But Mikey decides this effort is well worth his time. Then playtime in the water can begin. The more he splashes, slips, flips, and moves- the more fun it is!!

Some quick updates about Michael:

He loves the movie “Wall-E” and watches it 37 times a week. If we aren’t watching Wall-E, then we are discussing how Wall-E got broke.

Michael chatters non-stop and uses cute phrases like “Momma where are ya?” and “Oh no Momma.”

His favorite Bible story is Noah and the Arc. He is also fully aware of Noah’s wife, and refers to her as “wife.” He loves boats and will also tell you how a towel is needed to dry off everything that is wet.

He also loves to tell you about all the sounds animals make, my personal favorite is the sound of turkeys and sheep (I will post a video shortly)

All drinks are diet coke- coca cola company should hire him.

He is quite the social man and will constantly say “hi” and “bye” to everyone he sees in stores and restaurants. We are thinking possibly a part-time job for him as a greeter :)

Grampa Rick (who Michael simply calls Rick) fixed Michael’s play glasses, so now anytime something is broke, Michael will tell you “Rick gix it” (aka “Rick will fix it”).

He looooooooooves books and anyone who watches him or spends time with him will have the honor of reading him 15 books consecutively. He does have favorite books and those may be read as much as 10 times a day.

Michael is such an awesome kid and we feel so blessed to have the opportunity to raise him. Today we made a mad dash to Wal-Mart to find Michael and bigger pool. As we ran through the store, Michael proclaimed “pool please” numerous times, Wal-Mart employees got quite a kick out of this and were great at directing us to the location of blow-up pools with slides.

Michael in the Indian paintbrushes

Yes the Indian paintbrushes. We were going for the bluebonnets on the side of Hwy 40 just outside our neighborhood, but turns out that was too close to cars for comfort with our wild man Michael. So, we went to a field that had Indian paintbrushes instead . . . he ran around screaming for deer and had a blast.

I know he is pouting in this one, but his look is sooo cute.

Looking oh so innocent.

Singing ‘if you’re happy and you know it’

Flowers and kisses for momma (I am so lucky)

Looking for deer, or as Michael calls them “doe”

He can’t find the doe (hence the hands raised in the air), but when you ask him where the deer are, he tells you “night night” (he is so smart).

Happy Easter!!

Ready for Easter!! Get to dye some eggs!!

So happy to see Bamma. Kisses and dye-stained hugs!!

Now why would I pick that color egg for Bamma? It was not a coincidence.

Thanks Gamma. This is great fun!!

I gotta eat some eggs before we can hide them.

Putting the dyed eggs in the crate to dry.

Wearing bamma’s eyes. Pink is a good color, I am secure enough in my masculinity.

Just me being goofy.

My Easter egg hunt, I would rather try on Bamma’s “eyes”

Hug for Gamma

I would rather play on the porch than hunt for Easter eggs.

This is one of my Momma’s fav pics of me!!

My goofy parents!!

Grampa Rick is silly. He screams as much as I do.

We might as well all be as silly as Grampa Rick!!

Happy Easter to all. We enjoy so many blessings today because of the greatest blessing of all - our Lord and Savior – and what He endured on the cross for us all.

Born to be Wild!!

A big day for me!! I got a Kawasaki four-wheeler from gramma, grampa Rick and great Bamma.

For some reason, before I can power up my ride here, Momma makes me where this helmet. I don’t like it.

Come on gramma, keep up!!

I don’t even have to look where I am driving.

But, maybe I should and grampa Rick wouldn’t have to come get me out of the neighbor’s flowerbed!!

Some videos of me in action- live and uncut

I also got a kitchen to work on my cookin’ skills. Yes, I know, Grandpa Albert is very proud.

Hey, Jack is lickin my oven!!

After a looooong day, a few calm minutes of me doin what I like best- eatin ice!!

Do I look like my grampa? A lot of people think so!!

And my great Bamma is one of them. She says lookin at me reminds her of Ricky when he was a little boy. I hear that he was as high-energy as I am!!

Snow Day in College Station!!

Who knew- snow in CS?? They were the biggest flakes ever.

All bundled up to go outside.

I see the snow. I don’t think it is that great. And I want to go back inside!! Not even going to give Momma time to snap a few pictures.

It is a good thing that I live in Texas.

Michael’s week home

So, I have been super sick lately. Lots of asthma trouble, a cold, sinus problems. I got to spend the whoooole week home from daycare and the fun thing was, I never knew who I was gonna be with. Sometimes Grampa Rick and Bamma, then Gramma Christy, Momma and Daddy, and also Granna Margaret. But, we all survived. Here are some pictures of my week.

I took lots of baths, that always makes me happy,

Watched some TV, but I don’t really like TV that much.

And we read loooooots of books. I love books and I never get tired of reading them. I will have Mom and Dad read the same books over and over and over because they are my very favorites.

And finally feeling better, here I am eating as much pizza as I can. In this picture I am saying “more.”

A Trip to the Park

I love the park. I run around crazy, keeping Momma and Daddy on their toes. I love the slide, but will only go down face first.

Super excited to go to the park. Smiling happily in the carseat.

The thing I am holding is an acorn.Yes an acorn. Those things are huge here.

I was told it was time to go, and as every good boy does, I turned are ran like heck the other way . . .

Happy New Year!!

New Year’s Eve, I got dressed up in my Gap shirt, slacks and loafers and went with Mom and Dad to eat at Olive Garden with some friends.

Man, I clean up pretty good. Ready for my New Year’s Eve festivities.

After dinner, I was exhausted. I didn’t even make it passed 8 o’clock. Here is my last picture for the year 2009. Momma took it at 11:45 pm.

And me at 12:05 am. My first picture of 2010. I rolled over for this one.

My brothers . . .

Frankie

Jackson

Sammy

And Daddy, bringing in the new year by “winning the family money” or as Mom says, “losing the family money.”

HAPPY 2010 EVERYONE!!
